May 2 at Burnt Large Marina in Lee County and conclude with a Grand Finale Championship May 21-23 at Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium in Sarasota County.    Administrator of NOAA Dr. Jane Lubchenco and Eric Schwaab leader of NMFS hosted on april 16-17, 2010 the saltwater fish recreational fishing Summit in Alexandria, Virginia.  More than 100 leaders from recreational fishing community participated in order to convey our officials on our society’s needs.  The success or failure of this effort can only be established over time of future actions of the NOAA and NMFS.As President of the American Sportfishing Association (ASA) Government Committee and co-Chair of the international Gamefish Association (IGFA) fishing and Conservation Committee, I was asked to speak on the importance of Angler access. these comments are the following:
